Sizes 6 - 24.
A real favorite of mine, with or without the overblouse or the sleeves. This popular dress pattern with a 5-tier skirt offers an amazing array of creative possibilities. 17 variations are suggested on the pattern back.
I absolutely love this overblouse. The bottom edge gently slopes downwards from the front towards the middle back producing a very slenderizing, as well as stylish, profile. The overblouse is optional, though. If desired, it can be worn over the 5-tier dress, which is a 5-tier skirt attached to a sleeveless bodice - making it particularly comfortable, since there is no waistband.
If no overblouse is wanted, a 5-tier dress (or 5-tier jumper) can be created by simply using fashion fabric for the bodice, rather than a light batiste or lining fabric.
Further, a simple 5-tier skirt can be made, without the bodice, by simply adding an elastic waistband to the top edge.
More variations can be produced by adding sleeves to the bodice of the 5-tier dress or even eliminating the 5-tier skirt altogether and opting for a simple pullover top.
Variations #16 & # 17: (white linen straight dress with sleeveless overblouse, on left; separate sleeveless shirt, on right)
