My Fat Quarters Skirt Pattern provides opportunities to use those sets of irresistible fat quarters from fabric lines which we have been collecting. Each skirt can use up to 9 different fat quarters. Of course, fabric yardage can be used as well, so yardage requirements are also included.
Fat Quarter Skirts can be personalized with button trim on the pockets and/or the bottom band. Instructions are included for the pieced star pattern block in the bottom band, but any decorative square of fabrics could be used.
Waistband encloses elastic, just to give some extra comfort at the waist. There is also a placket and a set of hooks on the side of the waistband to make the fat quarters skirt easier to pull on and to take off. This simple placket also eliminates the need for excessive gathered fabric at the top edge of the skirt, which would be required to pull the skirt up over the hips otherwise.
